Hello Meredith,

I am reaching out today in regard to the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards gala. I wanted to see if you
would be interested in featuring the event in the Names column of the The Boston Globe.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards gala brought together a star-studded
crowd in celebration of Gordon Parks work and legacy. The event was co-chaired by Alicia Keys,
Kassem Swizz Beats Dean and Karl Lagerfeld and honored some of the greatest contributors to the arts
including Usher and Robert De Niro & Grace Hightower De Niro. Karen Haas, Lane Curator of
Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), had the honor of presenting a previously
unpublished Parks print to Barbara Bailey, the daughter of Parks close friend. The photograph features
Bailey and her mother and is currently on display in the MFAs exhibition Gordon Parks: Back to Fort
Scott.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is any additional information I can provide. Thank you for
your consideration.
Best,
Rachel Zhu
