ACT ONE
EXT. ROYS APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY
A typical brownstone, converted apartment building.
INT. ROY'S APARTMENT BUILDING -ROY'S APARTMENT -DAY
ROY sits on his sofa. He plays video games on the television.

SFX: a dog YAPS.

Roys eyes roll.

ERNEST (V.O.)
Truth is a good dog; but always
beware of barking too close to the
heels of an error, lest you get
your brains kicked out.
Roy throws the controller on the floor.
ROY
Thats it! Someone needs to do
something about that dog.
ERNEST appears and stands behind the sofa.

ERNEST
You could always go pull their
plug!
Roy stands, turns around, and places his hand over his heart.

ROY
Holy shitake!
ERNEST
You should start living up to your
promise. Youre good at that!
Roy shrugs and nods.

INT. ROY'S APARTMENT BUILDING - HALLWAY - DAY

Roy walks walks out into the hallway.

Roy spots STEFFI at the mailboxes.

Roy struts up to Steffi.

ROY
You know, I hear your dog a lot.

STEFFI
Im sorry. Does he keep you up?

ROY
I could dogsit for you if youre
too busy to handle him.

STEFFI
Could you? Id love you forever.

ROY
Absolutely.

STEFFI
Great! Let me take this mail over
to my place and Ill bring him.

ROY
Sounds like a date.

STEFFI
Only thing is, you HAVE to promise
to give him a bath. Ive been so
preparing for my casting calls and
I havent had time for my little
George Clooney.

ROY
You got it.

Steffi hurries up the stairs, as Roy walks back to his

apartment.
END OF ACT ONE

ACT TWO
INT. ROY'S APARTMENT BUILDING -ROY'S APARTMENT -DAY

Roy sits on his couch and watches TV.

SFX: KNOCK KNOCK!

Roy stands up, straightens his shirt, and walks to the door.

Roy opens the door. Steffi holds her stuffed Chihuahua,

GEORGE CLOONEY.

ROY
Uh wow! Has your dog always been...
that stiff?
STEFFI
Hes just got a condition.
Steffi quickly hands over George, along with a dog shampoo
bottle.
STEFFI (CONTD)
Thanks a bunch, Hun.
Roy closes the door.
Yip

STEFFI

(O.S.) (CONTD)

Roy shakes his head, and closes the door.

Roy walks to the sofa.

Roy sits the dog beside him, grabs his controller, and plays
his game.

Ernest appears behind Roy.

ERNEST
Dont you think you should be
washing the dog?

Roy groans, and gets off the sofa with the dog.

Roy walks to the kitchen and sits the dog in the sink.

Roy examines the Dog Shampoo bottle.

ROY
(Reading the Shampoo
bottle)
Let shampoo sit and air out for 2
minutes before adding to water.

Roy unscrews the bottle cap and places it next to the sink.

Roy turns on the water, and gets his hands wet. He rubs water
into Georges fur.

Roy turns and knocks the bottle into the floor.

ROY (CONTD)
Gosh darn it!
Roy stares at the contents.

Ernest stands next to Roy.

ERNEST
Nice going, genius!

Roy smiles.

Roy walks to the bathroom.

Roy into the kitchen with a new bottle of shampoo and rubs it
onto the dog.

ACT THREE
INT. ROY'S APARTMENT BUILDING -ROY'S APARTMENT -DAY

Roy wipes the kitchen sink when--

SFX: KNOCK KNOCK!

Roy walks to the sofa, picks up George Clooney, then walks to
the door.

Roy holds George Clooney with his left hand, opens the door
with his right hand. Steffi sets 2 shopping bags next to her
feet.

STEFFI
I cant thank you enough for taking
care of my little George Clooney.

Roy hands George over to Steffi.

STEFFI (CONTD)
How was my little George Clooney?
Steffi sniffs the dog.

STEFFI (CONTD)
This doesnt smell like the shampoo
I gave you!
ROY
Well you see, there was a little
mishap earlier and...
STEFFI
Just so you know, my dog is
allergic to Human Shampoo. Now
hell lose all his hair and become
one of those... You know, little
bald dogs.
Steffi barks.
STEFFI (CONTD)
(as the dog)
ARF! ARF!
(as herself)
Yes, I know, George Clooney. He
made you a baldy
(as dog)
WOOF WOOF!
(as herself)
(MORE)

STEFFI (CONTD)
Yes he is, George Clooney. The bad
man is a big stupid son of a

ARF!
Steffi scrambles down the hallway.

Roy watches.

Ernest stands behind Roy and shakes his head.

TAG
EXT. ROYS APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY
Roy and Ernest stand at the bottom of the steps.

Steffi, dressed in a white straight jacket, barks at the two

men dressed in white coats.

STEFFI
RUFF RUFF RUFF
The two men load her in the back of a white van and close the
doors.

Ernest looks at Roy.

ERNEST
No shame in doing a good deed son!
Roy smiles.
ROY
Thanks Dad!
ERNEST
Shouldve pulled her plug.
Roy shakes his head.
