Established in 2002 as the sixteenth Public University in Malaysia

Formely known as Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan & Teknologi Malaysia
(KUKTEM)
Rebranded to UMP on February 1, 2007
UMP is situated in the east coast state of Pahang, the biggest state in
Peninsular Malaysia with vast areas of rainforest endowed with a wide
range of biodiversity and natural resources
Currently operated at GAMBANG campus with the main campus under
development at PEKAN.
