New Board for the 20142015 School Year


For the past few years,
Delaware States PRSSA
chapter has had
continuous board
members from year to
year but this upcoming
school year will be
different. At the end of
this school year, all
board members will be
stepping down so that
members will have a
shot at these positions.

get a job in the public
relations field until it is
too late. The classroom
is great for teaching the
basics of the field, and
letting students know
what it is all about but
there is no hands-on
experience here.

Donnice Peterson is a 20 year old junior from Queens, New York majoring in
Mass Communications with a focus on Public Relations and Advertising.
Determined to hone her public relation skills She currently serves as the
President of the Public Relations Student Society of America, She is the PR
Manager for WDSU Radio, as well as the Vice President of Public Relations for
Toastmasters International. She believes in taking advantage of all
opportunities allotted to her so that she can be most marketable after
graduation. She is the founder of Core 4 PR where she represents bloggers and
fashion designers. In addition to her PR experience she is a dedicated member
of the Future Leaders in Progress, a Big Sister of the Big Sister Little Sister
Program as well as a mentor with Best Buddies. She is a passionate about
being a resource for students that will follow her footsteps, hence why she
aspires to start a non-profit organization. "Lead by the Spirit that will serve as a
bridge for students transitioning from their senior year in high school into their
freshman year in college. She lives by the scripture "God does not give us the
spirit of Fear but power love and a sound mind" and each day she lives her life
fearlessly and wonderfully made.
