Flu Cases Supposedly Declining Across the Region

Studies are showing that the number of flu cases in retirement homes is
declining and that is good news for elderly people.

Looking at the chart the number of flu cases in Retirement homes and long term care facilities is
declining this year but a closer look at the chart shows that though the numbers are low they are not as
low as they have been and the only reason that they are Declining is because the numbers have been
on the rise. It is impossible to predict what the numbers next year will be, they may shoot back up again.
Also this is just a small portion of the world living in retirement homes and long term care
facilities. The article also states that the number of laboratory confirmed cases this year is 43 whereas
this time last year the number of laboratory confirmed cases was only 7, thats over 6 times as many
cases this year from last. So as they say Statistics dont lie but that does not always mean that they are
telling the entire truth.
