Dear Sir or Madame,
Ihave had the opportunity to work with Patrick Nyberg for the last three years as a parent and as a
colleague at Escuela Americana. It is with great pleasure that | write this letter concerning his character.
My family and | are diplomats for the United States. We have lived in The Netherlands and Egypt with
my daughter enrolled in international schools with each move. My daughter has had several types of
teachers during this time. Over the course of my daughter's education she has always had a great deal
of anxiety in regards to Math. Last year my daughter had Mr. Nyberg for Algebra Il, Francesca had a
great experience in his classroom. Mr. Nyberg was able to get her to relax and understand the concepts
that she was learning. Francesca did so well in his class he tried to get her to go into Honors this school
year. Francesca continues to speak fondly of him and the formulas that he helped her understand, As a
parent and a teacher it really means a lot to me to have Mr. Nyberg make such a positive impact on my
child
IMy first year of teaching here | had the pleasure of being on the eighth grade team with Mr. Nyberg.
Every week the team would meet to discuss the students in our classes. Patrick always had a positive
attitude regarding each student. | would also hear my students talking about the other teachers. Mr.
Nyberg was always spoken of in a positive way. That is very hard for any eighth grader to state on a
regular basis. If there was something that Patrick needed help with he never hesitated to ask for
assistance, He was always willing to try another approach for teaching a lesson.
‘As a new teacher | understand his need to move and have a new challenge. It will be hard to say
goodbye to him. I know wherever he lands he will be a positive influence on each and every student
that he comes in contact with.
Sincerely,
rey A Sea patti
