Starbucks Case Questions

9. The founders' of Starbucks' philosophies and Howard Schultz's beliefs have made
Starbucks' culture what it is today. That culture is maintained through their commitment
to not only their customers, but their employees as well. They are passionate about what
they do and care about their customers and making their company profitable and
respected.
12. Starbucks does business in 42 different countries and this makes the environment
they operate uncertain. There are many different cultures and environments and the
each environment should be treated differently. They have to identify the wants and
needs of the customers and employees in the differing environments and act
accordingly.
18. I think that their use of partners instead of employees indicates that they want their
employees to feel they are a part of the company and not just working for them. This is a
good idea because it makes the employees like their job better and feel valued. I also
think that what a company calls their employees matters. A simple thing like calling your
employees partners can make them feel more valued and help them to enjoy their job
and then in turn give better service to customers.
