We use Have and Have got to show possessions. For example I have got
a pen and I have a pen have the same meaning.
But pay attention:
"I have got a pen" affirmative
"I haven't got a pen" negative
"Have you got a pen?" interrogative
"I have a pen" affirmative
"I don't have a pen" negative
"Do you have a pen?" interrogative
In the past we use have instead of have got
She had a pink guitar when she was young
She had got a pink guitar when she was young
Did you have a headache yesterday?
Had you got a headache yesterday?
