I talked with the human resources director, Mr. Miller at the Emporia State Career Fair on November 3, 2015 and expressed my interest in the district. Lam a first year teacher who has a lot of ideas to bring to the table. | graduated from Emporia State University in May, 2016 and am very eager to begin my teaching career. ! have student taught in first and third grade classrooms for one semester each. | have developed detailed lesson plans for all content areas. | also have integrated Smart Board technology into content areas to increase student learning. When managing classrooms I strive to reward positive behavior, both individually and asa class. Iam very interested in the Marion school district. [have lived in the Marion Hillsboro community for about four years now. | grew up in a small school district like Marion and have always wanted to teach in a district similar. I believe that a small district, such as Marion really takes the time to invest in their students and their individual needs. | would love to be a part of that positive impact on our future.
