Hello

all! My name is Andrew Rahm and I am excited to begin this program with you
all! I am currently a middle school teacher at Mariners Christian School in Costa
Mesa, CA. I have also taught at the high school level and in all have taught multiple
levels of math, finance classes and even some electives such as culinary arts.
Mariners is looking at going 1 to 1 next year and this program was a perfect
launching point for me to lead this transition.
I am the youngest of four in my family and was blessed to be raised in a loving
Christian home where I was able to go to private Christian school as a child and
young adult. Besides teaching, I am a girls volleyball coach at El Modena High
School in Orange, CA and
also a club volleyball
coach for Impact
volleyball club in Yorba
Linda, CA. This is my first
year at El Modena after 12
years at Whittier Christian
where we won 3 CIF
championships with us
wining back to back in
2012 and 2013.
Coaching is what actually
convinced me to become a
teacher as I graduated from Biola University in 2006 and worked in the business
world for 3-4 years. I was never as passionate and happy while working in the
business world and decided in 2008 to make the career move and begin
teaching Math at Whittier Christian High School.
Away from work and school, I enjoy playing
hockey and also watching, Go Kings! I also
enjoy traveling, especially to Portland, OR
where I plan on living one day. Besides
hockey and traveling I also enjoy working
on various projects around my Condo in La
Mirada, Ca.
