Dear Fourth Grade Families,
This year our students will have four field trips. Each of these correlates to our classroom
curriculum.

Students will learn about North Carolina History and government.

Durham, NC
Students will tour a 19th century farm house and go on an archeological dig.

Students will explore various animal adaptations and habitats.

We will need parent chaperones for all trips except the symphony. Chaperones must have
completed the background check through WCPSS prior to Oct. 30 at any WCPSS school. If you
would like to chaperone, please send a note to your childs teacher. Some trips have a limited
number of chaperone opportunities, so please let us know if you are interested. Chaperones will not
be permitted to ride the school or charter bus.
The total cost is

prior to December 18
. If you are unable
to pay the entire amount by this date, please contact your childs teacher to make arrangements. If
you would like to sponsor another child, please send in additional funds with a note.
