Introduction
The needs of many disabled or handicapped
and elderly people are mostly satisfied with
power wheelchairs, some who are not able to
move well find it difficult or impossible to
operate standard ones.

Speech Recognition Technology

Speech recognition is the ability of a


machine or program to identify words and
phrases in spoken language and convert
them to a machine-readable format.

Voice controlled wheelchair


Refers to the device that is controlled by
making the voice as an input. It follows a
certain command whether to go left, right,
forward, backward or to stop depending on
what the user will say.

Objectives
To implement the voice user as an input to
control the movement of wheelchair.
To facilitate the movement of people who
are disabled or handicapped and elderly
people who are not able to move well.

Project Outline

This project describe a wheelchair which can


only be controlled by using the users voice
There are five options for basic motions of a
wheelchair to be applied by the user:
Forward
Backward
Right
Left
Stop

Project Outline

This will use two DC motors for the wheels.


Designed an electronic system which could:
Increased mobility.
Guarantee easy, comfortable driving.
To control the wheelchair, the users voice is
used.
Motions include, Forward, Backward, Right,
Left, and Stop.
