Dragon announcements to let everyone know which class won the change-collection contest, and
that class will be rewarded with a pizza party celebration. Mr. Burns will be entertaining us with the
Whip/Nae Nae (Watch Me) next Friday, Nov. 6, during the morning announcements and at the PBIS
Assemblies that day because we were able to EXCEED OUR DRAGONFIRE GOAL!!!! Thank you,
thank you, thank you! You all rock, and we are so lucky to have such a fabulous community of
Douglas staff, students and parents.

SPIRIT NIGHT

adorable Storybook pumpkins on display in the restaurant from our K-2nd grade students that are
awaiting final votes!! See you there!

REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST

Reflections is a National PTA Art Contest that is underway. The theme this year is: "Let your
imagination fly..." and your child can submit pieces of art in the following categories: Literature,
Musical Composition, Photography, Film/Video Production, Dance, and Visual Arts. Submissions
are due October 28. This year, the Douglas staff is supporting our participation to really get kids
involved! They will support the PTA by hosting 'Moe's Art Party' on November 2 for all Reflections
Contest participants. The children who participate in the Reflections Contest and this party will
collaborate to create pieces of artwork that will be displayed throughout the school! We are super
excited about the Reflections Contest and this party; the kids will be too!!
