Art Project 2
Creative Collagraphs Houses

Collagraphy is a printmaking process in which materials are applied to a rigid
substrate (such as paper, board or wood). The word is derived from the Greek
word koll or kolla, meaning glue, and graph, meaning the activity of drawing.
View the link below to refresh your memory before you start.

Your task is to create an original Collagraph plate using a myriad of

textures and materials to build your design. Your design must reflect the
theme Houses whether that is a haunted house, a village or simply a
quirky house with plenty of character.

Show your experimentation with different materials by taking notes in

your visual diary.

Apply ink to your plate using a roller and print onto cartridge paper using
the printing press.

Continue to print a total of 3 prints (1/3, 2/3 & 3/3)

Date, number and hang the most clear print from your set.
