Reflection

We chose to make a sandwich because its a classic,

easy dish that anyone can make (It is also a favorite choice
of Tayghen when hes at Jersey Mike's). Sandwiches have
many shapes and flavors, this makes them diverse, which
the whole country appreciates. In Michael Pollans,
Omnivore's Dilemma, he states more americans eat
different meals than their familys almost every night when
they eat together. This makes the sandwich a favorite in the
United States.
The idea of the sandwich can be traced all the way
back to the 18th century in Europe.Supposedly invented by
John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, it was designed to be
portable and easy to make.

YES! I did
create the
famous
sandwich!
Your
Welcome!

When you eat this sandwich you can potentially

receive 505 Kilo-calories. To transport all the ingredients it
takes 2964.9 kilocalories. Based on this data, we believe
that the sandwich is not sustainable because it takes more
energy to produce the ingredients than it is to eat all of
them together.
None of the ingredients used were raised or grown
locally.
