COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course title: Spanish 2

Department: World Languages

Instructor: Sra. Guzmn

Brief description of this course:


This class focuses on communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, communities.
Vocabulary and grammar will be highly emphasized. Grammar topics will include Irregular Verb
Conjugation, Preterite Tense, Imperfect Tense, Commands and Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns
and more.
Vocabulary topics will include, Friends and Family, Celebrations, Professions, Parts of the
house, Stores, Places in the City, Ordinal numbers, Competitions, Parts of the body, Routine Activities,
Pastimes, Time, and Adjectives and more.
The cultures of Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, Florida, the Dominican Republic, and Peru will be
covered.

Student copies of the textbook will be checked out from the Library

Homework/Exam policy in this course:

A student has as many days to make up work as they were absent, if absences were excused.
Homework is expected to be handed in on time. No late work will be accepted, unless its an excused absence or
previous arrangements have been made with the teacher.
No re-takes on quizzes or exams. Study guides will be given before each benchmark exam. We will review in
class before any quiz/test. However, students should study every night by reviewing vocabulary, class notes,
and/or by visiting Quizlet.com
If you know you will be absent, please make arrangements ahead of time to get the assignment(s).
No cheating, copying, or plagiarism will be tolerated. Student will receive a zero without the possibility of
making it up.
