Mystery Book Report

Due: Friday, November 6, 2015

Students will choose a mystery that is at their independent reading level. After
finishing the book, students will create a picture book that tells the story of their novel.
Picture books should be a minimum of five pages. Each page must have an illustration.
All illustrations should be in color. There is no minimum word count, however, the book
must retell the mystery. All books should also have a cover. The cover should include
the title of the book, the original author, and retold by with the students name. Books
can be typed or neatly written.
Students will have several weeks to complete this project, and I expect to see
significant effort in both writing and illustrations. Student should be prepared to read
their picture books to the class.
Please return the signed contract tomorrow.
