To Whom It May Concern:
I had the pleasure of having Tammy Meyers complete her student teaching in my
second grade classroom at Sommer Elementary. She started the school year
with my class in August and completed her primary student teaching practicum
on October 8, 2015.
While student teaching, she planned and implemented a variety of lessons in
both whole and small group settings. She gathered and analyzed student data to
guide her planning of math and reading lessons that were based on the strengths
and needs of the students.
Tammy was able to create a fun and inviting learning environment. She quickly
built a positive rapport with the students. Her lessons were engaging and built
upon the prior knowledge of the students. She was committed to her role as a
teacher and dedicated extra time to coming in to school to prepare materials for
lessons, attend Student Success Team meetings, staff meetings, and second
grade team planning meetings.
I would highly recommend Tammy for a teaching position in your school
corporation.
