Student Learning Goals (List desired learning goals, and your plans to meet them, for the next weeks clinical
experience. Goals should be based on identified performance issues and the desire for new knowledge and
experiences.)
This clinical experience has taught me a lot about the things I need to improve on in order to be a great nurse. I
would like to continue to especially work on building my confidence, being able to look at a situation as a
whole rather than getting tunnel vision, and organizing my time efficiently.

Preceptor/Instructor comments/ Student Learning Goals: (**If an item was identified as N or U, narrative
comments are necessary to clarify student performance**)
Shannon has shown a great deal of growth throughout her clinical experience. She developed better skills regarding
time management and prioritization. Due to a significant event, Shannon learned how to identify patient needs and how
to react in unexpected situations. More importantly how not to react and how to prepare for the worst. This was a great
learning experience for Shannon and her peers.
Despite her doubt in herself, Shannon will do well in the future. She develops a very strong rapport with her patients,
peers and staff on the unit.
