On October 15, 2015, Precinct 1 officers responded to Dollar General at 2855 W. McDowell Rd.
regarding an armed robbery of a business. The business was robbed by three black male subjects
armed with handguns. The suspects were able to exit the location with an undisclosed amount of
money.
The suspects approached a customer in the parking lot of the location and demanded her vehicle
at gunpoint. The suspects took her black in color Chrysler 200 at gunpoint and fled the scene.
The vehicle was later recovered.
During the course of the investigation, Robbery/Homicide Detectives developed and identified
Marcus Lawson as one of the suspects involved in this incident. He has been charged with
Armed Robbery of a Business and Armed Carjacking. Warrants have been issued for his arrest.
