Welcome to our ministry update!

Mbabazi clinic project

The building of the clinic was completed on April 2015
thanks to On Eagles Wings efforts and your prayers.
Improving the health of the impoverished is our major
motivation. In fact, Burundi has one of the lowest score in
the Health index (0.487) standing on position 178 out of 186
countries. It also has one of the highest maternal mortality
rates in the world: 800 per 100,000 live births (ranking at
179 out of 185 countries).

Update West and South Sides of Mbabazi clinic

One major objective of the clinic will be to offer affordable

quality health services. Based on estimations of professional
health workers, who work in health facilities in suburb areas
of Bujumbura, we estimate that the clinic will treat an average of 100 persons per day (3,000 per month), of which 60%
are women, 30% children and 10% men.
In contrast to conventional health facilities, the Mbabazi
Clinic will strife to offer quality health care to poor women,
children and other desperate people. The clinic will contain
the following sections and facilities:

Pharmacy
Laboratory
Out-patient department
Maternity
Delivery room
Women and men wards
Paediatrics
Dentistry Stomatology
Echography Gynaecology
Ophthalmology
Emergency unit
Resuscitation/ Recovery room

North and South sides

East and North Sides

Neonatology
Counceling and HIV/ AIDS unit
Endoscopy
Radiology-Imaging
Health education hall

At the beginning, Mbabazi Clinic will employ 23 staff. It will select

only committed, qualified only experienced staff workers. The staff
will include following positions:

1 Administrator/ Hospital manager
1 Accountant
1 Logistician
5 Nurse
2 Midwife
2 Laboratory worker
2 Lavadeur
2 Cook

1. Mbabazi clinic needs medical equipments, medications

and furniture to start. (cf. attached list of needs). We
appreciate if you can pray, support or link us with right
hospitals or institutions or people!
2. Need for staff budget for 12 months at least before the
clinic be able to generate income for its sustainability.
3. Procedures of Application for an official authorization
to run the clinic to be done effectively.
4. Burundi to have peaceful times and democratic elections 2015 in spite of demonstrations against the third
candidacy of the current president.
