Each tube is really a tube within a tube,

with dozens of small channels between
them. When either the inner or outer
tube fails, fluid is introduced into the
space between the tubes.

The fluid flows to the leak detection

chamber between the tube sheets and
then runs out the leak indicator hole for
easy detection before any cross
contamination occurs.
