Doctopus & Goobric will allow...


Teachers to
share template documents with students
email written and/or verbal feedback and rubric
scores within student docs
revise rubric grades for corrected student work
manage the workflow of student assignments

Students to
get immediate feedback on their work
revise & improve their work
keep digital records of improvement

CLASS (less chance of the script timing-out)

Doctopus Pushes Out Assignment

However, dont use Hapara to push out this
Assignment Template (You Wont Be able to
Grade it with the Goobric Digital Rubric!)

Or, use Doctopus to Ingest Google


Classroom Assignment
Doctopus will create roster from your Google
Classroom and incorporate already pushed out

Install Doctopus into your Roster Template!

From Roster Spreadsheet


Add-ons Tab: Get Add-Ons
Search for Doctopus
Click on the
button

Causes Doctopus to run very slowly


Use if peer-editing ONLY if all student work is
UNIQUE

Assigned Student Level - allow edit


Checkbox: Editors cannot change sharing
permissions (keeps students honest- you
get email if they try to share)

Deliver to Student Folders is checked if you set up
folders earlier
Co-Teachers can grade assignment, but they cannot
add the Goobric

What about revisions/redo?

Students can revise their work


Original rubric scores are saved
New scores can be written over old one
Simply open doc and regrade as if it was the
first time

How do I keep track of student scores?


Return to Roster Spreadsheet
Scores are kept in columns in spreadsheet
Most current scores are kept in the first tab;
Student Docs can be Re-assessed
All rubric scores are listed in Rubric Scores tab

To sum up student scores


Under Grade Column in Spreadsheet
Type =sum()
Within the parenthesis, type cell labels or highlight cells,
for example: (K3:L3)
Copy this formula and paste down column in
spreadsheet

Points of Caution:
You must be logged into only one Google
account for this to work.
Doctopus can time-out or fail if that
happens, simply close it and re-open it
Students will try to share their docs with
each other
You are the owner, and they cant - youll get an
email saying that they are trying to share...
