This month we are working on their novel study as a class.

We are also writing our own monologues and presenting them for both a reading and oral mark.
Math:
We are finishing unit 2 and will begin unit 3 Geometry.
Science:
We will have a unit 1 test this month that covers 3-4 chapters. Grade 7 is Ecosystems and Grade 8 is Cells.
Social Studies:
Grade 7 has started History with learning about European explorers and their initial relationships with the
Aboriginal people.
Grade 8 has started Human Geography with a focus on site, situation and patterns of settlement around
the world.
Islamic Studies:
Akhlaaq: Students are examining how Islamic manners can be incorporated into our daily lives.
Specifically, we are looking at sincerity in our worship and actions.
Seerah: We will be looking at simple ahadith that students will memorize and discuss in relation to their
meanings, context and implications in our daily lives.
Social Studies: We will learn about early Muslim civilizations and the role of the Sahabah after the death of
the Prophet (saws).
Fiqh: NA
Aqidah: NA
Physical Education:
Girls: Basketball, soccer, fitness. Our central focus is positive attitude, teamwork, and participation.
Boys: Basketball, soccer, football, dodgeball, fitness and capture the flag.
personal safety and injury prevention along with good decision-making skills.
