    trams. Londons red buses, especially the Routemaster, introduced in 1956, have been
    a symbol of London since then. In 1985 the gouvernment encouraged other bus
    companie to offer services within the capital. Since September 1994 all London buses
    have been run by privately-owned companies. My family has lived in London for
    several generations and my grandfather worked as a bus conductor for thirty years.
    He has seen many changes in the transport system. I have been using buses all my life
    and, in my opinion, riding on the top of a double decker is not only convenient but
    also the best way to enjoy the sight of our city.
