COURSE DESCRIPTION (CMO 13, S 2008)

This course covers the different phases of


systems development and engineering with
focus on analysis and design. It covers how
to handle requirements, architectural
design, integration and verification and
shall be facilitated thru project-team design
approach in accordance with recognized
standards. The students will also be introduced
to recent work on the complexity of real
world systems, with issues such as multilevel systems, and iterative development.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

After completing the course, the student must be


able to:

Perform needs analysis


Translate requirements into systems models
Design solutions for system requirements
Apply interviewing and data gathering techniques
and best practices
Present the result of systems analysis
Design a proposed system
