Dear Parents and Stakeholders,

On behalf of the Management Committee and staff of PODC, I am writing to inform you that
after eight years in the role, Kate Kennedy has made the decision to move on as Coordinator
at PODC.
Whilst it has not been an easy decision for Kate, we are fully supportive of her wishes to
pursue full time study next year to complete a Bachelor of Social Work. She has a fantastic
opportunity to complete this degree, which she has been working towards in a part time
capacity over the last year.
We are sad to see Kate leave and we are very aware and appreciative of her considerable
contribution. However, it is important to let you know that the PODC support service will
continue and that the PODC Management Committee is actively working on a recruitment
plan for the role, with more details to follow soon.
Anna Iacono, our Marketing and Administrative Assistant, will continue at PODC on
Mondays and Tuesdays to link parents to information, support and referral services whilst
the organisation takes the necessary steps to fill the role of Coordinator.
We have two events remaining in the 2015 calendar that you and your family are warmly
invited to. Kate will be present at both events if you would like the opportunity to farewell
her.

The PODC AGM (followed by light refreshments) on Wednesday 18 November 2015 at

the Hearing Hub, Macquarie University, at 7pm.
