Prerequisites: for Strategic Communication majors, must be a junior or senior with minimum
3.0 GPA. Completion of four STCO gateway courses plus two upper-level required courses
before spring semester begins. Graphic design majors need a strong portfolio and do not
need to satisfy STCO prerequisites.

Job Openings:
President (1 position available)
Provides visionary leadership and direction for the agency. Must be a returning
RoxStar.
Vice President of New Business (1 position)
Responsible for screening and responding to inquiries from potential clients.
Account Executive (6 positions)
Serves as the liason to the client and as the project manager for a client account.
Creative Director (up to 2 positions)
Collaborates with account executives to brainstorm concepts and provide direction
for the Big Idea of each campaign. Oversees graphic designers and copywriters.
Graphic Designer (up to 3 positions)
Develops visual components for all communication pieces, including brochures,
websites, e-newsletters, ads, posters and PowerPoint presentations.
Public Relations Manager (up to 4 positions)
Manages all of the public relations components of a campaign or project.
Account Planner and Research (up to 3 positions)
Oversees research to determine a brand or organizations situation and informs the
strategy of a campaign based on the research.
Channel/Media Planner (1 position)
Directs budget allocation to various traditional and non-traditional channels.
Social Media Manager (up to 3 positions)

Plans, executes and evaluates social media campaigns.


Interactive Director (up to 3 positions)
Main planner and doer for everything digital, including SEO, website, e-mail
marketing, mobile applications and web measurement.
Copywriter (2 positions)
Writes ads, brochure copy, website content and works with team to brainstorm copy
points.
Videographer (2 positions)
Handles all of the photography and videography needs in the agency.
Time Requirements: Roxo requires a commitment of either two or three work
shifts totaling 9 hours a week. (Work shifts should be at least 3 hours long.) You can
set your schedule around your other classes. Roxo will be open until 8 p.m. on Tues.
and Wed. nights. PLUS you must attend a weekly class/agency meeting Mondays
from 1-1:50 p.m. Visiting speakers, agency tours, instruction, and problem solving
happen during this class/agency meeting time. (Up to three absences from both the
Monday class and your normal work shifts are allowed.)

INCLUDE WORK SAMPLES:
Provide three (3) samples of your work relevant to your position of interest. Samples
can range from a proposal, research report, published article, ad, and flyer to a
press release, website design or PowerPoint. Make sure it is your original work
rather than a group project.

Compile your work samples, cover letter, resume and this application and deliver in
a big envelope to the Roxo office at Moudy South 215A. Selected candidates will be
contacted for an interview. Students who are studying abroad or in Washington, D.C.
may email the application packet to Roxos president, Oscar Roel, at
Oscar.roel@tcu.edu or the faculty advisor, Margaret Ritsch, at m.c.ritsch@tcu.edu.
Finalists may be invited to come into Roxo for a 15-minute interview. Students will
be notified by midnight Monday, October 26.
If accepted into Roxo, you will receive a permission number to enroll in the Agency
Operations course. (RoxStars may be invited to continue for a second semester, and
when this occurs, they enroll in the Agency Internship course for one, two or three
internship credits.)
