Gain valuable on-the-job experience under the guidance
of experienced transportation professionals. Interns will participate in transportation planning and engineering activities including:
At the time of filing, the applicant must be in an accredited
Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Computer Science / Information Services Program at a university or a related field at a community college. Applicants considering a career in transportation engineering or planning are preferred.
Designing and implementing transportation safety
improvements and multimodal complete streets
Performing community outreach and engagement,
responding to community requests for transportation improvements
An applicant can be employed up to six (6) months after graduation;
otherwise, the applicant must be returning to their undergraduate program or entering a graduate program in Fall 2016.
All persons entering the City and County of San Francisco
workforce are required to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
Coordinating with other city agencies, contractors and
communities on transportation-related projects
