Join our coastal education short course to deliver effective community engagement & education programs with a focus on
the Gold Coasts coastal environment. You will receive a certificate of attendance for this course as well as the opportunity
to volunteer with our community engagement program or book a CoastEd session for your school or community group!

For who?

About what?

Are you a geography or science teacher at a primary or secondary


school? Are you involved with a local community group or notfor profit and are regularly engaging the community in coastal
environment protection? Are you a Griffith University Science
student and keen to get a taste of outreach and education
programs for the environment? Or are you a member of the
community and are interested for your future career or volunteer
position to learn about successful environmental education
techniques then this is the course for you!

Over a space of 1.5 days you will engage with award winning
coastal educators and experts. You will be introduced to teaching
techniques and foundation knowledge to facilitate captivating
coastal education sessions for all age groups, you will have the
opportunity to get some hands-on experience in the field and you
will also learn about coastal management techniques and coastal
processes . Join us for both days or choose only 1 depending on your
schedule!
