Agamemnon Questions

1. Does your reading of Aeschylus' Agamemnon make you feel that Agamemnon deserved
his fate?
2. How far does the Clytemnestra of Agamemnon deserve the sympathy and even the
admiration of an audience?
3. Illustrate from your reading how Aeschylus in the Agamemnon portrays Clytemnestra as
behaving like a man rather than a normal Greek woman?
4. Discuss the contribution of the chorus of the Agamemnon to the overall effect of the play.
5. 'Agamemnon, Clytemnestra and the chorus dominate Aeschylus' Agamemnon'. Assess
the contribution made to the play by the other characters.
