This lesson is the creating and administering of the multiplication post test.

The post test will cover the 4 multiplication strategies and completion of multiplication word problems

We spent the previous day reviewing the 4 multiplication strategies both students
and parents knew this quiz was happening, parents were sent pictures of the
strategies posters to review at home
Students created the 3 word problems on the back side of the quiz

Pass out desk dividers


Each student should have a pencil ready
If students do not put name on paper they will get a 0
Go over directions (Quiz attached), touching on how students will use each
multiplication strategy to solve the problem there are 2 problems, all 4 for each
On the side with the word problems, students may use which ever strategy they
would like to solve the word problem. They must show the multiplication
equation to receive full credit. ____x_____=_____

Closure

Students get as much time as needed to complete the quiz


When students are finished they may put their quiz in finished work and sit and read
quietly at their desks waiting for the whole class to be done
