Endorsement of Bill Frazer for Houston City Controller

Whereas:

The finances of the City of Houston, especially our dangerously

underfunded pensions, have never been in worse shape than
they are now; and,

Whereas:

Bill Frazer, a Certified Public Accountant with over 35 years of

experience, has made it his mission to understand, and to
explain, our citys poor fiscal position to our many diverse
constituency groups; and,

Whereas:

According to the Houston City Charter, it shall be the duty of

the controller to superintend and supervise the fiscal affairs of
the City of Houston, and to manage and conduct the same; and,

Whereas:

Bill Frazer has demonstrated through his involvement in our

city, in industry, and in his profession that he has the rare ability
to both address the complex problems facing the city, and to
navigate the many political concerns which might otherwise
conspire toward the maintenance of the status quo; and,

Whereas:

Bill Frazer has advanced to the City of Houston runoff, which

will take place on December 12, 2015.

Be it resolved:
That the Harris County Republican Party hereby endorses
Bill Frazer for the position of Houston City Controller; and,
Be it resolved:
That the Harris County Republican Party is authorized by
its Executive Committee to use the resources at its disposal to
support Bill Frazers campaign for Houston City Controller
during the 2015 Runoff Election.
