Endorsement of Mike Knox for Houston City Councilman

Whereas:

Mike Knox, candidate for Houston City Council At-Large

Position 1, served for 15 years as a Houston police officer; and,

Whereas:

He is also a renowned expert on gang violence and has been

active in his community of Spring Branch; and,

Whereas:

Mike Knoxs campaign platform includes responsible and

nonpartisan solutions for other issues facing our city, such as
transportation and infrastructure; and,

Whereas:

It is important for the City of Houston to have a Councilman

who can effectively represent the unique interests of our law
enforcement and first responders, who rank among the finest in
the nation; and,

Whereas:

Mike Knox has advanced to the City of Houston runoff, which

will take place on December 12, 2015.

Be it resolved:
That the Harris County Republican Party hereby endorses
Mike Knox for the position of Houston City Councilman (AtLarge #1); and,
Be it resolved:
That the Harris County Republican Party is authorized by
its Executive Committee to use the resources at its disposal to
support Mike Knoxs campaign for Houston City Council during
the 2015 Runoff Election.
