Links Between The

Different Parts Of The NME

Magazine
By Jac Colton

Use Of Colour

All the parts feature the colours red and white. The masthead is red and white
and is featured on the front cover and contents page. The 2 page spread does
not feature the masthead but does feature the colours in the form of Dizzee
Rascal's red jacket and the white wall behind him. These bright colours stand
out and draw attention to the magazines front cover, contents page and 2
spread article. The constant use of the same bright colours also create a
standout brand that the target audience will recognise.

Font and Text Style

The text and font style of all 3 parts of the magazine is very similar and
connects all 3 parts to the theme and main article of the magazine. The font is
designed to look like a graffiti art. The style is used on the front cover,
contents page and 2 page spread. It links to the article as Dizzee Rascal fans
would usually be found in urban city area, which is also the place where you
would most likely find graffiti art. This also links with the main images on the
front cover and 2 page spread as graffiti can be seen in the background and
Dizzee Rascal is seen vandalizing the wall with graffiti on the 2 page spread
