Dear Families,

My name is Ms. Beggs and I am very excited to be your first grade teacher this year.
This will be my first year teaching and I cannot wait to get to know each and every one
of you. I graduated from Tarleton State University in May 2016 with a bachelors
degree in interdisciplinary studies. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I
believe every child should be given the opportunity to learn.
While I cant wait to meet all of you, here is a little bit about myself. I am twenty-four
years old, happily married to the love of my life, and have a wonderful four year old
little boy. In my spare time I enjoy being surrounded with my family and friends,
watching Netflix, and taking my sweet boy to do fun activities.
Teaching has always been a dream of mine. I believe that all children are learners, and
though we may all approach learning differently, we are all capable of learning. I am
interested in seeing how your child learns and how we can incorporate your childs
individual learning style into our daily classroom environment. This is going to be an
amazing, engaging, and adventurous year and I am thrilled that I get to be a part of
the journey with you.
I have many hands on activities planned for this year and cannot wait for you to be a
part of them. To give you a glimpse of the school year ahead of us I wanted to share
an activity we will be doing this year. Towards the end of the year we will be going on
a field trip to the Childrens museum to reinforce all of the learning activities we have
experienced in our classroom in the areas of science and history.
We have an amazing year ahead of us. I want to work with you and your child to make
this a successful year for everyone. I could not be more excited to be your childs
teacher and I know I will do my part to ensure this is the best year ever.
