House Majority Leader Encourages Governor McCrory To
Refuse Relocation of Syrian Refugees Raleigh, NC Today, House Majority Leader Mike Hager (R-Rutherford) issued a statement encouraging Governor Pat McCrory to refuse the relocation of Syrian refugees in the State of North Carolina. Currently several governors throughout the United States have taken action by refusing the relocation of Syrian refugees in their states and it is time North Carolina does the same, said Majority Leader Hager. I have expressed concerns to Governor McCrory that we must refuse relocation of any refugees here to ensure the safety of all North Carolinians. With the terrorist attacks in Paris over the weekend, we cannot allow such attacks to happen here.
