Teacher Interview Reflection

I thoroughly enjoyed interview the teacher that I was placed with and being able
to work with her in her classroom for my two week clinical experience. Before
interviewing her, I was able to introduce myself to her and fill her in on my plans
involving my future teacher career and also learn more about her well she has handled
her career. She informed me that she has worked as a principal, an assistant principal,
a ninth grade teacher, and now a sixth grade social studies teacher. She such a positive
outlook on teaching that for the two weeks that I was in her class, all I could think about
was how bright my future is and how I cannot contain my excitement for my yearlong
internship. I was able to take away great advice from our many conversations and when
I interviewed her. My favorite question from our interview prompted her to give current
and future IMB students advice that both prepares them for the two weeks that they are
in the classroom and tips on how to remain healthy during their yearlong internship. At
the end of our interview, she told me that she will be retiring in three years but she
already knows that she will miss being in the classroom. I wished her the best of luck
and told her that she could come visit my future classroom at any time.
