    Junior Beta Club


    September 4, 2015
    Dear Guardian:
    We are pleased to inform you that, because ___________________________has demonstrated outstanding
    academic achievement, exemplified worthy character, and maintained a commendable attitude, he/she is
    cordially invited to join The National Junior Beta Club chapter at Lansdowne Elementary. The Beta Club is
    essentially a community service organization. Our motto is Let Us Lead, By Serving Others.
    The National Beta Club recognizes high academic achievement, promotes character and social responsibility,
    encourages service involvement to school and community, fosters leadership skills, and provides settings for
    your child to develop interpersonal relationship skills. In the coming months we will be doing nickels for nails,
    a coat drive, fundraisers to raise money for charities, a trash pick-up, and much more to help our school and
    community.
    Enclosed you will find a brochure that will answer questions and tell you more about the benefits of
    membership in The National Beta Club. The one-time membership fee is $20.00. (There are no scholarships
    available.) Your childs membership fee of $20.00 will be due by Thursday, September 10, 2015.
    Club meetings will be held weekly, on Thursdays from 2:45 - 3:30 in Mrs. Napiers Classroom. Our first
    meeting will be Thursday, September 10, 2015. Please pick up your child from the front doors of the school
    building.
    Congratulations on the achievement of your child! I look forward to an exciting year filled with activities and
    experiences that will continue to strengthen and build each student throughout his/her school years and life
    ahead.
