Oy UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES ‘SS OPENUNIVERSITY BIDS AND AWARDS COMMITTEE 17 November 2015 ADDENDUM /BID BULLETIN NO. 15-019 This Addendum/Bid Bulletin No.15- 019 is issued in response to the queries discussed during the pre-bid conference conducted on 10 November 2015 for the project “Supply, Delivery and Installation of Diesel-Engine-Driven Generator Set,” as follows: 1. With regard to the PCAB license, the requirement is at least a PCAB category D under the size range small B, Bidders with a PCAB license higher than category D are qualified to bid. 2. The “Letter of Conformity” is one of the required forms in the technical documents that the bidders need to accomplish. This is a statement of the bidders’ conformity/compliance with the technical specifications as enumerated in Section VII of the bidding documents. The voltage requirement of the generator, which is 400/230V, should be followed. 4, On Section VI. Schedule of Requirements, the ATS rating should be 3P/1000AT. Refer to the single line diagram drawing El-1b. The 200AT is for the fire and jockey pumps and should be disregarded. 5. On Section VII, Technical Specifications, disregard the title “Prime Rated Diesel Electric Generator” in Section 26.32.13.13. The project is for “Standby Generator.” 6. The basic engine configuration can either be “in-line” or “Vee-Vertical” type. 7. The proposed minimum of 8 cylinders is allowed as long as it can produce the required ratings. 8. The “silent type” diesel-electric generating unit can either be “built-in” or “fabricated.” 9. Generator sets from the US, UK, and Japan are preferred. 10. Bidders should quote separate costs for the unit and for installation. 11. The DENR permit is only included in the scope of works of the winning bidder and should not be included in the bid submission. 12. The mode/terms of payment for delivery and installation of the genset as well as changes in price, if any, shall be stipulated in the contract of the winning bidder. This addendunybid bulletin shall form an integral part of the bid documents for the project for inclusion in the technical bid.
