Translations
1) The quadrilateral ABCD has vertices A(-3,1), B(1,4),
C(5,-2), D(0,-4). It is translated by the vector

2, 3 .

Graph ABCD and its translation image A'B'C'D' on the

coordinate plane

2) Find the vector that translated figure ABC to A'B'C' if the vertices for the original image are A(-12,5),
B(-1,-2), C(3,1) and the vertices for the image after translation are A'(-8,3), B'(3,-4), C'(7,-1).

3) The triangle ABC has vertices A(0,2), B(2,-2), C(-2,-2).

Give a vector that puts this triangle completely in the first
quadrant. Also give a vector that would put the triangle
completely in the third quadrant.

4) The quadrilateral with vertices A(-3,4), B(2,3), C(3,-1), D(-2,-6) was translated to A'(-5,7), B'(0,6),
C'(1,4), D'(-4,-3). Explain why this is incorrect.
