To donate is not bad. In fact, it might be the farthest thing from bad.

Though at times, it irks me whenever our Church projects a large amount of

money, which at most will be coming from our cash donations, needed for
renovations. It is a fact that money is needed to survive even in the least
amount possible even if one claims to be not materialistic. More so that this
[Church] is an institution, a group of people each needing sustenance. It does
not only involve the people but the structure as well, needing renovations
subject to the times. Practically, money is a need to survive. I thought it
would be different for the Church. In reality, it still works the same.
That is how it is if you stop there.
Despite these practical circumstances, I consider it absurd that the Church
still continue to exist. Despite this cynical view, considering that I myself am
part of this institution and the possibility that other members of the
community have thought the same, this Church, this community of people
still exists. This communion of people which makes it alive.
What made these people unite in the first place? The answer to which I cant
sufficiently give and is limited to my own understanding. It is the
unexplainable intervention of the Holy Spirit as a transcendent being that
even the mere thought and act of giving is a blessing. This giving is not only
limited to money but in a deeper sense, such that the act itself fulfils you
spiritually in union with that transcendent being. This community of people,
this Church is gifted with that faith an unexplainable bond to a being
beyond our understanding.
But that doesnt stop us from attempting to.
To understand, you have to be in the act. Give.
Save of knowing that I do, Your most holy will.
