P.O. Box 200 800 Fast 3° Street Spencer, IA. 51301 Phone: 712-262-1700 HIGH SCHOOL | wrapent 228 November 10, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: Lam writing to recommend Mrs. Kimberly Noethe for completion of her library media education practicum. She will be a great asset to the school librarian profession. have had the pleasure of getting to know Kim through her previous position at Spencer Community Schools. It was great to be able to work with her again during her practicum at Spencer High School, and Spencer Middle School. While her current position at Sacred Heart School creates different opportunities and challenges than a public school library, our core mission and goals are closely aligned, Kim has a great understanding of her library patron’s needs, During her practicum, Kim displayed a deep understanding of collection development. Because she is already working in a schoo! library, she already has an in-depth understanding the role of the school librarian. She easily learned to navigate Destiny, our library software. She was able to connect our collection development procedures to her own. Kim was engaged in discussing both things we did similarly as well as differently. She also provided valuable input on books she or her students had enjoyed that our students might like also, Having worked in both a middle schoo! and high school previously, has given Kim valuable experience working with a variety of different aged students. Her experience also gives her great insight into how she can help classroom teachers with resources. She has great ideas and always willing to collaborate with others to create successful and meaningful learning experiences for students. I strongly believe, Kim will be a great asset and advocate to the schoo! librarian profession. T strongly tecommend her for the successful completion of her practicum. Sincerely, fal, CALL Emelia A.
