I grew up in Greer, South Carolina with my parents Bill and Susan Tyler. I have two siblings, Bo and Bailey. My dad is a Chick-fil-A operator. I have worked for him since I was old enough to see over the service counter. Because of this, my work ethic developed at a young age. I attended Blue Ridge High school from August 2008 to June 2012. I was a Competitive Cheerleader. I was a member of the yearbook staff for two years where I developed skills used for creating and editing proficient yearbook pages. In high school, I was in Beta Club. This provided me with many volunteer opportunities where I gained knowledge about the importance of serving others. In 2011, I began competing in the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization. Throughout my years as a contestant, I have learned many skills to prepare me for my future as an individual as well as an educator. The Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization provides women with the opportunity to become proficient in public speaking, develop confidence and poise, and build lifelong relationships with women from around the state. My love for education developed at a young age. Growing up, my sister and I played school and I pretended to be her teacher. My grandfather had a lot of educational influence in my life as well. He is a former high school band director, college professor, principal, and Richland County School district superintendent. He has walked me through my educational experiences and encouraged me to continue pursuing my dream as an educator. Without him, I may not have realized my love and desire for education.
