Campecine 2008

Program Overview

Campecine Film Festival is a multi-media interactive event that invites students to screen
youth-created varriomentaries and engage in dialogue to raise consciousness and awareness.

Date, location and schedule

Friday, May 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, 4000 N.
Michigan Road. The tentative schedule of activities is outlined below:

9:30-10:00 Sign-in at the DeBoest Lecture Hall.


10:00 Welcome by IMA and Introduction to the festival by Campecíne staff and
students.
10:10 Screening youth produced varriomentaries
11:10 Small group critical discussions focused on video content.
12:10 Closing by Campecine staff and students.
12:30 (Optional) Lunch and museum self-guided tour
Schools are invited to enjoy lunch on-site. The IMA also welcomes teachers
and chaperones to accompany students on self-guided tours through all
galleries.

Meal options

Schools are encouraged to arrange for sack lunches for student participants. The IMA will
provide a non-refrigerated space to store lunches. For those schools and/or students who
prefer to purchase lunch, the IMA Café is available. We suggest each student purchasing their
meal plan on an $8 minimum for lunch.

Transportation Reimbursement

Transportation assistance may be available for IPS schools by faxing all invoices to the IMA
Transportation Fund (931-1978). For more information please contact Lindsay Hand (923-
1331).

Image & Audio Consent Forms

Campecine 2008 will be filmed by FIRME Productions. Each adult and student participant
should complete and submit a consent form upon registration.
