This week for me – is all about developing a relationship with the people
on my list. But this week I want to increase my list.

Now I am still in the driving traffic phase to my blog to build my list. Just
as with everything else you must persist with the positive thought and
actions. Getting the back links is very important. I am now advertising for
free that there is a free book on my site especially for the Newbie.

What ways am I going to implement driving traffic and increase my

subscribers? Well, I am going to do both on page and off page Search
Engine Optimization. By doing this blog and linking it will give me off page
optimization.

A few things that are relevant to “on page” SEO are:

 Always start with keyword research – use Google Keyword Tool

 Make sure you purchase a suitable URL – one that has your main
keyword in it.
 Make sure that the keyword in your URL appears in the first
sentence
 Ensure that the key word density is around 3%-5%. This is the
amount I prefer but I have seen higher. Too high could be
considered spamming.
 Use header tags
 Use meta tags
 Use internal links from page to page.
 Make sure you have unique content
 Use a site map

Now let’s look at some “off page” SEO:

 Again, make sure you use your keyword research

 Use keywords in your links
 Link from other site
 Link from articles
 Link from blogs
 Make sure you only link one way

These are just some of the ways to get your site moving up the rankings.
Write as may blogs or articles on free sites. Use platforms like, Blogger,
WordPress.com, Hubpages, Scribd and Squidoo. Google love the Squidoo
lenses so try and use it to create some back links to your main site.
There are several other ways to drive traffic to your site but I love the
challenge of this one. All it costs is your time and being prepared to write
your articles and blogs with only unique content.
