attend the Global Consultation, which will take place from 12-13 October 2015 at the Starling Hotel
and Conference Centre in Geneva, Switzerland (http://www.shgeneva.com).
The overall objective of the Nansen Initiative Global Consultation is to present and validate a
Protection Agenda, a non-binding document that consolidates the conclusions from the Nansen
Initiative consultative process and identifies opportunities for future action in response to the
remaining legal, operational, institutional and financial gaps posed by cross-border disasterdisplacement. Validation of the Protection Agenda during the Global Consultation will take the form
of a solemn statement or declaration by States. The Global Consultation will mark the end of the
Nansen Initiative in its current form.
