Module 1 is divided into two units with two performance criteria i.e. 1.1 Identifying needs, aims and objectives 1.2 Planning and preparing the learning programme and sessions Drills one on the use of needs to design a programme plan that can suit local circumstances or initiatives. This aided by existing international or national curriculum. The programme designer must take into consideration the needs, aspirations and existing achievements of learners, both as individuals and as a group. The unit creates the awareness in the importance of Learners needs since physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development vary from learner to learner.
