    Write 10 critiques of poems. Use a variety of types of poetry and


    ensure each has enough content to critique for the purpose of this
    assignment.

    1. What is your reaction immediately after reading the poem?


    2. On what level are you most affected by the poem?
    eg. emotional, spiritual or intellectual?
    3. What is the mood of the play? Does it change?
    4. What does the poem reveal about the human condition?
    5. Describe any characters who live in this poem.
    6. What poetic devices are evident? What is their effect on the
    piece?
    7. What images are most striking?
    8. What is the main theme?
