ROBOTS
SCIENCE

Standard 7:
5. Analyze and redesign to determine which
solutions best meet the criteria and constraints.
The students will analyze an obstacle course and
code the finch to maneuver through it successfully.

MATH
Standard 3:
Data Analysis
a. Translate from one representation of data to
another and understand that the data can be
represented using a variety of tables, graphs, or
symbols and that different modes of representation
often convey different messages.
The student will take all the room temperatures in
the classroom and graph them in a bar graph and
line graph. And take the mean, median, mode.

SOCIAL STUDIES
Standard 1
2. Determine the central ideas or information of a
primary or secondary source; provide an accurate
summary of how key events or ideas develop over the
course of the text.
The student will really focus on providing a summary
of key events by summarizing what we do in the
entire project hitting the key points.

ENGLISH
Standard 2:
b. Draw inferences such as conclusions,
generalizations, and predictions, and support them
with text evidence and personal experience.
The student will write an essay describing their
experience with the finch robots, and will predict
different ways we could use the robots to learn.

MUSIC
Standard 2:
2.Evaluate ones own and other musicians music
performances, comparing them to exemplary works.
The student will create a section of a song through
coding for the finch to play and identify it with a
famous music artist of the 20th century.
